54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 8:45am-11:00am. There were 9 children (21 points) supervised by 3 direct care staff. The home, 3 staff records, 5 children?s records, 1 household member?s record, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed engaging freely and eating breakfast, which consisted of peanut butter on whole wheat bread and bananas. There was an abundance of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation during this inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-760-A Description: Based on observation of emergency supplies, the provider did not have all of the required items. Evidence: A fire extinguisher was not available during inspection. Plan of Correction: I will get on immediately.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-680-A Description: Based on observation staff did not wash their hands with liquid soap and running water. Evidence: Before serving breakfast, staff did not was their hands before touching food. Plan of Correction: I will make sure hands are washed before and after touching all food
