Today's visit was a routine monitoring inspection. The inspection began at 10:30am and concluded at 1:00pm. There were six children in care and a total of ten points. During the inspection the outdoor area was viewed, three out of eleven children's records were viewed, a new staff member's record was viewed, lunch time was observed, infant care was observed, the FDH emergency plan was reviewed, emergency supplies were viewed, and some policies and procedures were reviewed. Discussion took place regarding model forms that can be found online for all subsidy vendors. A background check violation was cited during today's inspection and requires follow-up with your inspector to take place within ten days or by the close of business on 7/20/18 Thank you for your time, please call me at 309-2051 if you have any questions.
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-5-a Description: Based on the inspector's request to view the search of the central registry check for a fourteen year old resident child, the provider failed to ensure the required background check was completed within thirty days of the child fourteenth birth date. Evidence: Resident child #1 turned fourteen years of age in December and does not have the results of a CPS background check. Plan of Correction: The background check has been requested and the provider conducted follow-up with the agency responsible for processing the request during the time of the inspection. Follow-up will take place within ten days with the Licensing Inspector.
