- Technical Assistance:
We discussed the requirements for caregiver records. Also, we talked about annual training, annual review of the emergency plan, and annual updates for children's emergency contact information.
Thank you for your assistance during today's unannounced renewal inspection conducted from 11:20 AM to 3:10 PM. Today, there were twelve children, ages infancy through five years (thirty-one points), with three caregivers. I viewed daily routines, infant feedings, nutrition, menu, activities, diapering procedures, equipment, posted information, staffing, supervision, interactions with children, emergency procedures, emergency supplies and drill record, four records for caregivers/residents, caregiver training, caregiver qualifications, five records for children, indoor and outdoor areas. The children were provided individual attention for care and comfort. There was adequate age appropriate equipment available for the children present. The caregivers were seen providing frequent interactions with children. Issuance of the renewed license will be recommended. Let me know if you have any questions. 540/430-9259
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-120-B Description: Based on a review of four records for caregivers/residents, and interviews with caregivers, there was required information missing from the record of caregiver 4. (Repeat violation.) Evidence: There was only one written reference in the file. The caregivers indicated that they obtained another reference after the last inspection and it could not be located. Plan of Correction: The provider will obtain a second reference documented on the reference form and place it with the records of caregiver 4. The provider will make sure all required information is maintained in the files.
