The chain cover on the backyard swing is beginning to split and open up. It is not a hazard at this time, but should be replaced in the very near future.
An unannounced full renewal inspection was conducted today. The provider and two assistant caregivers were caring for 10 children, totaling 23 points. Children's records, the indoor and outdoor physical plant, emergency preparedness items, children's nutrition, children's programming, background checks, caregiver training, and all adult records were inspected today. It was reported to the Inspector that no children's medication were on site today. The children were served cheese pizza, tofu, mixed vegetables, peaches, and milk for lunch today. This inspection was completed between approximately 9:45am and 12:00pm. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-530-B Description: Based on observations, it was determined that one crib sheet does not fit as required. Evidence: The crib sheet used by one infant is loose and does not fit the mattress tightly. Plan of Correction: The mattress is thin so the sheet gaps. I will buy thicker crib mattresses and make sure each sheet fits tightly.
