Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 09/04/2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 6 children, ages 11 months-8 years, totaling 14 points present during today's inspection. There was one caregiver providing direct care and supervision during the inspection. The inspector reviewed 5 children's, one provider record, one household member record and one pet record during the inspection. The provider does not administer medication. The inspector observed the children in the following activities: watching television, participating in music and movement, during story time and doing an art project based on the story, during morning snack and in participating in free choice activities. The inspector also observed diapering and hand washing during the inspection. The inspector reviewed the updated emergency preparedness plans, emergency supplies, parent information and handbook during the inspection today. The inspector discussed the following with the provider: licensing standards relating to having pets and wading pools, daily points, changes to the search of the central registry process, and annual training hours. The licensing inspector reminded the provider to submit the annual license renewal application as soon as possible. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 10:00 a.m. and departed at 1:15 p.m. Thank you for your time today. If you have any questions, please contact Becky Forestier at 540-309-2835.
