Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance today included fireplace inspection and contacting Zoning. We also discussed using paper towels for staff. TB screenings are due every 2 years; new fingerprints are good for five years. A Search of the Central Registry is due for when your child is 14 years old. New Sworn Disclosure statements are available at the website under background checks at

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:45 - 11:45 . There were six children present with the provider and assistant for 13 points. I observed children busy singing along with a video; engaging in physical activity with indoor riding toys and slide; listening to a story; painting with Q-tips; eating snack and working with puzzles. Outdoor areas were not checked due to weather. Children's records were well-organized and complete. No children's medications were on-site. If you have any questions, please contact me at

An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.
