Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on Friday October 5, 2018 from approximately 11:15 AM until 12:50 PM to determine the provider's compliance with licensing standards. In attendance were four non-resident children. The children were being supervised by one caregiver during the inspection. There was a total of 10 points based on the children?s ages. During the inspection, children were observed playing outside, playing with toys, washing hands and eating lunch and transitioning into nap time. Lunch consisted of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, corn, apples and milk. A complete walk through of the home was completed with the provider. The child care areas were filled with supplies and toys for the children. During the inspection, the licensing inspector reviewed the following: emergency supplies, emergency drill logs, required postings, parent agreements, fire inspection and daily attendance. Transportation is not provided at this time. Medication is not administered at this time. During the inspection five children's, three caregivers? records and two household members? records were reviewed. The risk profile tool will be used for the licensing recommendation by the licensing department. The renewal application was received prior to the expiration of the current license. Until the new license is received, the provider is legally operating. If you have any questions about this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Lynn Powers at (804) 662-9790.
