Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 10:10am-11:10am. There were 4 children (10 points) directly supervised by 1 staff. The home, 1 staff record, 2 children?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed working with specialists, playing with puzzles, and eating snack. There was a supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-70-A
Description: Based on record review, the provider did not give all information in writing prior to the child's first day of attendance. Evidence: Child 1 did not have a signed written information sheet which discloses information regarding policies and procedures of the center including but not limited to check in and our procedures, termination policy, fees, fee schedule, days of operation, and notification of communicable diseases.

Plan of Correction: I will have parent sign the information today.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-240-A
Description: Based on observation, areas inside the home were not maintain in a safe condition. Evidence: To the left of the doorway leading to the kitchen, there are two patches of peeling pant which poses a potential safety concern to children.

Plan of Correction: I will take care of it this weekend.
