Technical Assistance:
Discussed the option of using cots or mats for rest time. Discussed keeping cleaning products out of reach of children.

Comments:
An announced new provider visit was conducted today between the hours of 10:00am through 11:30am with the provider on site. There were no children here today. A sample of the children's forms the provider plans to use were reviewed and and 4 staff/household member's files were reviewed. The home is clean and organized with an abundant supply of toys. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-760-A-1
Description: Based on observation, the provider's first aid kit did not contain the minimum requirements. Evidence: 1. The provider had a first aid kit, but it was missing the first aid instruction manual.

Plan of Correction: I will print one out.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-330-A
Description: Based on observation, the provider did not have a landline phone available, operable and accessible that was not cordless. Evidence: 1. The provider had a land line phone, but the phone was cordless.

Plan of Correction: I will order one today.
