Technical Assistance:
Discussed with provider infant equipment, handwashing, trainings.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 9:30am to 10:55am. There were 12 children (29 points) in care of 2 caregivers. The children were observed playing with toys including an inflatable pool filled with balls, pretending to ice skate, play dough, eating morning snack and playing outside. 5 children and 3 caregiver/household member records were reviewed in addition to vaccination records for a house pet. Emergency drill records were current and the emergency preparedness plan has been updated annually. Areas of non-compliance are listed in the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-210-A
Description: Based on record reviews, caregivers did not obtain a minimum of 16 hours of training annually. Evidence: Training records showed that Caregiver # 1 and Caregiver # 2 did not obtain 16 hours of annual training. The date of teh most recent trainings for both caregivers was from 2016.

Plan of Correction: We are scheduled for trainings and get them completed.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-680-B
Description: Based on observation, provider did not ensure that children washed their hands before eating. Evidence: Child were observed eating morning snack after playing. Children did not wash their hands before eating morning snack.

Plan of Correction: I will ensure that children wash their hands before eating.
