The applicant has a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Human Services and meets the qualification requirements to be a licensed family day home provider. Children were not in care, thus those standards regarding the care and supervision of children were not able to be reviewed. Written policies and background checks were reviewed. The physical plant and outdoor play space was inspected. First aid supplies and forms to be utilized were reviewed during this inspection. A sample child's record was reviewed. Provider and household member records were reviewed with the application. Areas of noncompliance are detailed in the violation notice and were discussed with the provider at the conclusion of this inspection. The first unannounced inspection will be conducted within 60 days from the date the license is issued. Please contact the inspector at (757) 354-7307 if there are any questions.
