Discussed when small appliances are not being used to keep them unplugged.
An unannounced renewal visit was conducted today between the hours of 11:00am through 12:00pm with the provider on site. There were 2 children (3 points) with the provider. A sample of 1 children's files and 4 staff/household member's files were reviewed. The children were engaged in the following: toy play, lunch time, diaper changes and handwashing. The home is clean and organized. Positive interaction was observed between the provider and children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280 Description: Based on observation, Potentially poisonous substances such as cleaning agents and disinfectants were not stored inaccessible to children. Evidence: 1. Two cleaning products were inside a cubby on a shelf and were accessible to children. Plan of Correction: I will move them to a higher location immediately.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-330-A Description: Based on interview, the provider stated she did not have a landline telephone. Evidence: 1. The provider has a cell phone, but did not have a landline phone. She stated she is unable to get a landline phone in this area that would be cordless and would require electricity and internet to operate. Plan of Correction: I will continue to look into it to try and find a provider for the phone.
