The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 12:15pm to 2:00pm. The children were observed resting on cots. Today, there were five children, totaling 12 points, present with two caregivers. Five children?s records and two caregivers? records were reviewed during the inspection. Medication is not being administered. Transportation is provided. Last emergency drill:11/29/2018 Last shelter-in-place drill: 05/10/2018 Emergency Plan Reviewed: 05/02/2018 The violations from the previous inspections were checked for corrections. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on a review of children's records on 11/30/2018, the provider did not ensure that three of five children's records reviewed contained documentation of an annual update of emergency information. EVIDENCE: 1. The most recent update documented in the record of Child #1 is dated 10/16/2017. 2. The most recent update documented in the record of Child #2 is dated 10/21/2017. 3. The most recent update documented in the record of Child #5 is dated 11/13/2017. Plan of Correction: Parents will sign today when they are picked up.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-90-C Description: Based on a review of children's records on 11/30/2018, the provider did not ensure that documentation of additional immunizations were obtained every six months for children under the age of two years. EVIDENCE: The record of Child #1, who started at the home when he was 15 months old, and Child #2, who started at the home when she was 13 months old, did not contain documentation of immunizations every 6 months. Plan of Correction: Going forward will make sure that children between the ages of 1 and 2 years old have 6 month check ups.
