An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with the provider beginning at 7:15 AM and ending at 8:50 AM. There were initially two children in care but three more arrived during the inspection. The children were ages 12 months, 16 months, 2, 3, and 3 years old for a total of 13 points. The children were observed playing with blocks and cars. The infant was observed playing with large manipulatives. The children were also observed being read a story by the provider. The provider's record and five children's records were reviewed and in compliance. The provider's training hours were reviewed and in compliance. The first aid kit, flashlight, and weather-band radio were observed and in compliance. There were no medications on site. The most recent emergency escape drill was documented as 11/2/18. The most recent shelter-in-place drill was documented as 6/12/18. The provider is not Medication Administration Training (MAT) certified and cannot administer prescription medications to children in care. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-50-A
Description: Based on review of the attendance record, the provider did not ensure all children were included on the written attendance record. Evidence: There were four children present but none marked present on the attendance sheet.

Plan of Correction: The provider updated the attendance sheet during the inspection and stated that she would sign all children in as they arrive.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280
Description: Based on observation, the provider did not ensure that all cleaning agents were stored away from food and in an area inaccessible to children. Evidence: There was a container of Clorox wipes on the dining table which had fruit and water stored on it and accessible to the children.

Plan of Correction: The provider stated that she had used the Clorox wipes to clean the area yesterday evening and forgot to put them away. The wipe removed from the table during the inspection and stored in a locked cabinet.
