An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 10:45am-12:30pm. There were 6 children (18 points) directly supervised by 2 staff. The home, 2 staff records, 3 children?s records, 2 household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely, building with blocks, playing the house pay area, and eating lunch. Lunch served today was a jelly sandwich, chicken, fruit and milk. Diapering procedures were also observed. There was a supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. The home was clean and organized. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-690-D Description: Based on observation, the diapering surface was not nonabsorbent. Evidence: The plastic covering for the diaper changing mat was torn in certain areas and therefore is no longer nonabsorbent. Plan of Correction: I have a new diaper changing mat and I will replace the old one.
