Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection was conducted on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 10:00am to 12:45pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. During today?s inspection, there were a total of 11 children in care totaling 34 points with three caregivers. Upon the inspector's arrival, the children were observed during circle time, singing songs, and interacting with peers and caregivers. The caregivers were observed assisting the children during bathroom breaks and washing hands. Later, the children were observed during lunch. The provider was observed having positive interactions with the children throughout the inspection. All areas used for child care were inspected. The family day home has age and stage appropriate materials and supplies. The required information was posted to include: the license, inspection notice, emergency numbers, daily schedule, menu and various parent information. The first aid kit and non-emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Three caregiver records, one household member's records and five children's records were reviewed. There were no children with food allergies, food sensitivities, or dietary restrictions. Last Evacuation Drill: 12/14/2018 Last Shelter-in-place: 06/27/2018 and 04/04/2018 Last Lockdown Drill: see violation notice If you have any questions about this inspection, please contact the licensing inspector, Florence Martus, at (804) 662-9772.
