Technical Assistance:
The Medication Administration - Decision to Administer form was discussed with the provider to determine the best boxes to check indicating that only prescription medication and topical ointments will be administered. The policies for termination of care statements on the Information for Parents form were discussed. The first date of attended is to be added when the first date of licensure is determined.

An announced, initial inspection was conducted today. The inspector arrived at 9:55 AM and departed at 9:55 AM. Three children. totaling five points, were in care with the provider. Care is provided in a room set up with toys, learning materials, shelving, child-size tables and chairs. A gate is used to restrict children's access to the kitchen and the remainder of the home. There are no pets at the family day home. The back yard is used for outdoor play. Morning activities to include bathroom procedures and hand washing were observed. Four children's records were reviewed. Household records were reviewed. Children are not transported. An exit meeting was conducted with the provider prior to closure of the inspection.
