54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted beginning at 1:00 p.m. and ending at 3:00 p.m. with the provider. There were four children in care ranging in age from seven months to two years old and the provider's child for a total of thirteen points. Older children were observed finishing lunch. Lunch today was chicken, broccoli, banana, cornbread and milk. An infant was observed drinking a bottle and another infant was being fed baby food. After lunch, children had bathroom time, diaper changes and hand washing. The two older children prepared for rest time. An infant was placed in his crib for nap. A second crib was checked for compliance and met the requirements. Three children's records, one caregiver record and one household member record was reviewed. The provider does not currently have Medication Administration Training (MAT) certification and cannot administer medications to children in care. Description: Based on discussion with the provider, documentation of emergency drills was not available. Evidence: There was no documentation of fire drills.

Plan of Correction: Fire drills were misfiled and will be located as soon as possible.
