A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 02/06/2019 from 9:15am to 1:00pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The children were playing with toys upon the inspector?s arrival, and they were later observed playing games, singing and counting. Today, there were three children, totaling 6 points, present with one caregiver. The caregiver was observed interacting with the children. Interviews were held with the caregiver throughout the inspection. Additionally, when appropriate the inspector interacted with children. Lunch consisted of corn, cheese, bread, carrots and milk.
The provider does not administer medication.
The provider does not provide transportation.
The provider does not have a pet.
Three children?s records and two caregivers? records were reviewed during the inspection.

A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and are identified on the violation notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-230-C Description: Based on review, the provider did not ensure that all caregivers hired prior to 10/17/18, completed Virginia Pre-Service Training for Child Care Staff sponsored by the Department of Social Services. Evidence: The record of caregiver #1 (start date: 10/22/1995) did not have documentation of the required Virginia Pre-Service Training. Plan of Correction: I will find the pre-service training.
