- Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance today included medication requirements, transportation requirements and Zoning.
An unannounced monitoring inspection took place today from 10 - 12:30 pm. There was one child in care for 3 points. I observed him busy with building blocks, sorting colored eggs. singing with musical toys and listening to a story. More children will arrive later in the day. There was a wide variety of attractive, age appropriate activities accessible in separate areas for school agers and younger children.Records were well-organized. If you have any questions, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-700-A Description: Based on review of records today, one child's prescription medication did not have a current authorization for the provider to administer medication. Based on review and staff confirmation, there was no documentation available of dates and times that the medication had been administered. Evidence: The form did not give the provider permission to administer the medication to Child #1; and there was no documentation of the administration of the medication.. Plan of Correction: I have been trying to get the mother to complete the MAT form, but I will give her state form for the doctor to fill out. I will use the new form to write down when the medicine is given.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-240-A Description: Based on observation today, there was an area not maintained in an operable condition. Evidence: There was a wooden hanger on the wall that had the screws loose. Plan of Correction: I will make it tighter.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-450-A Description: Based on observation during today's inspection, there were no decorative objects or markings on clear glass panels as required. Evidence: The sliding glass doors that open to the children's play area did not have decorative objects at child height. Plan of Correction: I will put sticker on. I have stickers and will put them on today.
