Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on (02/19/2019) to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:25am-1:15pm. There were 6 children (18 points) directly supervised by the provider. The home, 1 staff record, 6 children?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed playing freely, learning about the planets, doing worksheets, coloring, and eating snack. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. The home was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the Violation Notice. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Description: Based on record review, it was determined that the family day home's written emergency plan was incomplete. Evidence: The family day home's emergency plan did not address procedures for the continuity of operations to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency and must be included in the emergency response plan.

Plan of Correction: We will add the missing information to the plan.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-410-A-3
Description: Based on record review, lockdown procedures were not practiced annually. Evidence: There was no documentation of lockdown drills in 2018.

Plan of Correction: We will practice a lockdown drill this month.
