The required Pre-servoce update training was discussed. When documenting shelter-in-place drills and lock-down drills, specify whether the drill was a shelter drill or a lock-down drill on the record.
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 4/2/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Two children, totaling six points were in care with the substitute caregiver. Two caregiver records and seven children's records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-230-C Description: Based upon review of two caregiver records, the provider has not ensured that there is documentation that each caregiver has completed the required Pre-Service Training. Evidence: 1. The record provided for caregiver 1 did not include documentation of completion of the pre-service training. 2. Caregiver 2 verified that the documentation was not in the record for caregiver 1. Plan of Correction: Documentation of the required Pre-service training will be placed in each caregiver's record.
