Technical Assistance:
New addition of decking in progress in the backyard. Please install a hard mounted gate at the stairway prior to children having access to this area.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted this date. Children were preparing for lunch when the inspector arrived. Staff were strategically placed with the children while eating and encouraging independence with using utensils. All children's hands were washed prior to eating. High chair trays were sanitized promptly after the children ate. Diapering and hand washing procedures were observed. Children formed a circle around staff as they listened to a book read to them. Some children potty training and were encouraged by staff with this training. A total of 6 children's records and all staff records were reviewed. Emergency evacuation drills reviewed, no medication and no food allergies at this time. Positive interaction between staff and children was observed. Description: Based on child record review, one record was not complete. Evidence: Child #1's record did not contain the provider's liability insurance information, provider's medication policy and provider's emergency procedures.
