Technical Assistance:
The required pre-service training update was discussed with the provider. The required shelter-in-place and lock-down drills were discussed with the provider. New subsidy vendor guidelines can be found on the department's website: www.dss.virginia.gov.

Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 04/03/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspector arrived at 11:15 and observed morning activities. Five children were in care. Two caregiver/household records and five children's records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
