54.1-3408 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 10:00 - 11:15 am with the provider and her assistant. There were ten children in care, ranging from two years to four years of age, for a total of 20 points. The children were observed having free play with legos, singing and playing musical instruments. Five children's records and three caregiver/household member records were reviewed and in compliance. Childcare areas and supplies were observed. The emergency drill log was reviewed and in compliance. The provider is not Medication Administration Training (MAT) certified and cannot administer medications to children in care.
