Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today between approximately 10:30am and 1:05pm. 11 children (24pts) were present with 2 caregivers. The physical space, cribs, attendance records, daily reports, the emergency preparedness plan, evacuation drills and required posted documents were reviewed. 4 children's records and caregiver records were also reviewed. Children were observed watching a video, preparing for lunch and interacting with each other and the caregivers. Interactions were positive. The space was clean, well organized and contained an abundance of age appropriate materials. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the Violation Notice. For questions regarding this inspection, please contact stephanie.salvatori@dss.virginia.gov.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-40-A
Description: Based on observation, interview and record review, the Provider did no ensure that the total number of children receiving care at any one time does not exceed the maximum licensed capacity of the home. Evidence: The Provider is licensed for 9 children but 11 children were present. The Provider stated the increase in capacity to 12 has been conditionally accepted for review from the Town of Leesburg Zoning. She is waiting for final documentation to send to the Licensing Inspection.

Plan of Correction: I will make sure to not have over 9 children and will send the documentation to licensing for a modification of my license, once it's been approved by zoning.
