63.2 Licensure and Registration Procedures

Technical Assistance:
Discussion was held regarding requirements for fingerprinting before an employee's first day of employment. In addition, document when central registry search request is sent and maintain documentation of following up if results are not received within 30 days.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted between the hours of 12:50pm through 2:45pm. There were a total of 9 children present, to include 2 resident children (16 points) with the Provider and 1 assistant. A total of 6 children?s files, 3 staff files, and 1 household member?s file were reviewed. The children were engaged in the following: transitioning from lunch to naptime, reading, playing with cars and playing with play dough. Positive interactions between caregivers and children were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the programming space, children and staff records, evacuation drills, menu, attendance, and emergency procedures were completed today. The provider advised there was no medication on site today. There was an abundant supply of age appropriate materials and toys.
