The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced renewal inspection on 05/17/2019 from 8:55am to 1:15pm. The children were playing outside upon the inspector?s arrival. The children were later observed playing with toys, watching television and eating lunch. Today, there were seven children, totaling 18 points, present with three caregivers. Interviews were held with the caregivers throughout the inspection. The provider does not administer medication. The provider does not provide transportation. The provider does have a pet. Five children?s records, one caregiver record and two caregiver/household member records were reviewed during the inspection. Last emergency drill: 04/16/2019 Last shelter-in-place drill: 04/26/2019 The violations from the previous inspections were checked for corrections. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-350-E
Description: Based on observation, the provider did not ensure that hot water at taps available to children were maintained within a range of 105?F to 120?F. Evidence: During the inspection, the inspector measured the temperature of the water from the hand washing sink that is made accessible to children. The initial temperature was measured at 126.1?F.

Plan of Correction: I will call the plumber and have him turn it down by Monday.

Standard #: 22VAC40-191-60-C-2
Description: Based on review, the provider did not ensure that one of two employee records contained documentation of Central Registry results by the end of the 30th day of employment. Evidence: The record of staff #2 (start date: 4/1/2019) did not contain documentation of central registry results.

Plan of Correction: I will have the central registry results in the file by next Friday.

Description: Based on review, the provider did not ensure that one of two employee records contained documentation of fingerprint results prior to the first day of employment. Evidence: The record of staff #2 (start date: 4/1/2019) did not contain documentation of fingerprint results.

Plan of Correction: I will have the fingerprint results in the file by next Friday.
