Standard #: 22VAC40-111-120-B Description: Based on review of caregiver records, the provider did not obtain all required information for each caregiver's record. Evidence: The record of caregiver #3, hired 03/23/2019, did not contain documentation that two or more references as to character and reputation as well as competency were checked before employment. Plan of Correction: Per the provider: I will call and document two reference for the caregiver.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280 Description: Based on observation, the provider did not ensure potentially poisonous substances, materials and supplies such as, but not limited to, cleaning agents, disinfectants, deodorizers, plant care chemicals, pesticides, and petroleum distillates were stored away from food in areas inaccessible to children. Evidence: 1. A canister of disinfectant spray was observed on a table in the main child care area accessible to children in care. 2. A bottle of hand sanitizer with a warning label to "keep out of reach of children" was observed on the floor accessible to children in care. Plan of Correction: The provider relocated the disinfectant and hand sanitizer to an area inaccessible to children in care. Per the provider: I will keep the items in a place out of reach of the children.
