Technical assistance was offered regarding children's records and trainings.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 10:15am to 12:10pm. There were 3 children (6 points) in care of 1 caregiver. The children were observed returning to the family day home from a morning walk, playing with toys, reading books, and engaging in music and movement activities. 3 children's records, 1 caregiver record, 4 household member records and emergency drill records were reviewed. Areas of non compliance are listed in the violation notice. A subsidy health and safety inspection was also conducted on this day. Standard #: 22VAC40-111-920 Description: Based on record review, the menu for meals and snacks was not posted for the week. Evidence: The menu for the week of 7/8/19 was not prepared and posted in the family day home. Plan of Correction: I will have a menu posted by the end of the day.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-100-A Description: Based on record review, the provider did not obtain documentation of a physical exam for each child within 30 days of enrollment. Evidence: Child # 1's enrollment date was 10/15/18. Documentation of a physical exam was not obtained for Child # 1 within 30 days of enrollment. Plan of Correction: I will ask the parents to bring in the documentation.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-50-A Description: Based on record review, the family day home did not keep a written record of attendance of children each day. Evidence: Children's attendance was not recorded for 7/8/19 and 7/9/19. Plan of Correction: Attendance will be recorded.
