Comments:
An unannounced, renewal inspection was conducted today. The inspector arrived at 9:15 AM and departed at 10:45 AM. Four children, totaling ten points, were in care with the provider. The youngest child in care today was thirteen months old. A sample size of five children's records were reviewed. It was reported that no medication has been administered to children in care and no children's injuries were reported. An exit meeting was conducted with the provider prior to closure of the inspection.

Description: Based upon observation and provider interview, the provider has not ensured that cribs are provided for children from birth through 12 months of age. Evidence: According to the records and the provider child 1, 7 months old, has attended for occasional drop-in care beginning on 5/1/2019. The family day home does not have a crib. A mesh sided porta-crib has been in use.

Plan of Correction: The provider responded with the following: A full size or portable crib meeting current CPSC guidelines will be used for any child under 12 months of age or who is not developmentally ready to sleep on a cot. The mesh sided porta-crib will not be used for sleeping infants.
