A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 8/1/19 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 9 children present (20 points) with 3 caregivers. Children were observed putting on shoes, having sunscreen applied, playing outside on the playground with balls, on the swings and the slide, and running together. Lunch was observed cooking (chicken, rice, beans and fruit). Reviewed 3 staff files, 1 resident file, 2 children's files, attendance, menus, emergency evacuation log, cribs, and physical plant. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-230-B Description: Based on record review and interview with Provider, within the first 90 days of employment all caregivers did not complete Virginia Pre-service Training for Child Care. Evidence: Provider, Staff#1 and Staff#2 did not have documentation within 90 days of completing Pre-service training. Provider stated she had cancelled her Subsidy contract, however, the contract remains active. Plan of Correction: We will take the training
