Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 08/07/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from approximately 11am-1pm. There were 12 children (30 points) directly supervised by 2 caregivers. The backyard and main child care areas were observed. A sample of 6 children?s records, 2 caregiver's records, and 5 household member's records were reviewed. The children were observed playing on the playground, eating lunch, watching television and engaged with the caregivers. Zero new caregivers have been hired since the last inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. The exit interview was conducted with the provider. If you have any questions, contact Kimberly.Sawyer@dss.virginia.gov. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
