Technical Assistance:
Licensing inspector discussed printing out CPS searches, and subsidy requirements with the provider.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from approximately 11am-1pm. There were 12 children (30 points) directly supervised by 2 caregivers. The backyard and main child care areas were observed. A sample of 6 children?s records, 2 caregiver's records, and 5 household member's records were reviewed. The children were observed playing on the playground, eating lunch, watching television and engaged with the caregivers. Zero new caregivers have been hired since the last inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. The exit interview was conducted with the provider. If you have any questions, contact Kimberly.Sawyer@dss.virginia.gov.

Description: Based on record review, the provider did not annually review with the parent the emergency contact information. Evidence: 1. Child A's file was last reviewed 3/22/2017 2. Child B's file was last reviewed 8/31/2017 3. Child C's file was last reviewed 8/1/2018

Plan of Correction: I will have the parents review the files.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-800-B
Description: Based on observation, the provider did not review the emergency plan at least annually. Evidence: The emergency plan was last reviewed 07/2018.

Plan of Correction: Corrected during inspection.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-C
Description: Based on observation, the provider did not document the emergency evacuation drills. Evidence: 1. Caregiver A did not document emergency drills for the months of April, May, June and July of 2019. 2. The last evacuation drill documented occurred March/2019.

Plan of Correction: I forgot to write down the drills when I did them.
