Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 8/14/2019 from 10:45am to 1:00pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 8 children (16 points) supervised by 2 direct care staff. The home, 2 staff records, 4 children?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were coloring, playing with cars and trains, watching an educational video, dancing, and eating lunch. Lunch served was turkey, crackers, broccoli, bananas, and milk . There was an abundance of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Anansa Archer-Hicks at (703) 268-3295 or anansa.archer-hicks@dss.virginia.gov.
