Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 08/15/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 9 children, ages 5 months-9 years, totaling 21 points and 1 caregiver present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed 5 children's records, one provider record and one pet record during the inspection. The provider stated that medication is not administered. Children were observed in the following activities: during nap time, watching a movie, having a snack and in free choice play. The inspector reviewed the updated emergency preparedness plans, emergency supplies and parent policies during the inspection. The inspector discussed the following with the staff: subsidy requirements, the renewal process, annual training, behavior management, and safe sleep. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and are identified on the Violation Notice. Description: Based on observations, the vendor failed to ensure that children's hands shall be washed with soap and running water or disposable wipes before and after eating meals or snacks. Evidence: Three children were observed having a snack. The children were not observed washing their hands after eating the snack.

Plan of Correction: The children will wash hands before and after eating.
