Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 8/28/2019 from 2:30 P.M. to 4:45 P.M. to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the time of arrival two children were in the care of one provider, and additional eight children arrived afterschool and another caregiver arrived. Total of ten children present (eleven points) were in the care of two caregivers. Five children records, two caregiver records, evacuation drills, first aid kit, emergency supplies, emergency plan, required posted information, and outside play area were reviewed. Children were observed during quiet activities, television time watching cartoons, arrival from school, handwashing, snack time, free choice activities that included dramatic play and building, and departure A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
