Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. The provider and two assistant caregivers were caring for 10 children, totaling 29 points. Children's records, caregiver training, caregiver records, background checks, the physical plant, administrative records, emergency preparedness items, children's nutrition, and child care programming were inspected today. It was reported to the Inspector that no children's medications were on site today.

The children were observed listening to and telling stories, building with Lego blocks, eating lunch, and preparing for afternoon nap. The children were served a hot lunch of rice with lamb and vegetables, peaches, and milk today.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-250-C
Description: Based on observations, it was determined that one crib that is used by a child over than 5 months was equipped with a toy mobile attached to the side.
Evidence:
One crib is used by a child age 6 months. The Inspector observed a toy mobile attached to the side of this crib.

Plan of Correction: The mobile was immediately removed during the inspection.
