Technical Assistance:
Discussion of the subsidy regulations and how they apply to the Family Day Home (FDH). Further discussion of Lockdown procedures and annual drill. Allergy list was also reviewed.

Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted at the Sweet Home Care FDH located in Ashburn, Virginia. This inspection was conducted on 11/14/2019, between the hours of 8:30 am through 12 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An Unannounced Renewal Inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that were not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and were identified on the violation notice. Description: Based on review and interview, the Family Day Home (FDH) does not have a written plan in place that address lockdown procedures to be followed in an emergency.

Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (11/14/2019), after a review of the Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EP&RP) posted on site, the procedures for a lockdown emergency were not included within this documentation.
2. The Provider stated (during an interview conducted on the date of inspection) that she had yet to develop these procedures for the FDH.

Plan of Correction: Lockdown procedures shall be developed within the EP&RP and practiced on an annual basis.
