Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted November 13 2019 between 1:30pm and 3:00pm. There were 12 children in the direct care of the provider and an assistant. Children were observed napping, being diapered, washing hands, being fed snack (bananas, crackers, milk). The family day home is clean, organized, and offers multiple play areas for children. Areas of non-compliance are listed on the violation notice. If you have any questions please contact me at 703-554-4995 or at derek.acosta@dss.virginia.gov

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-A
Description: Based on observation, the provider did not complete documentation to show that an evacuation drill was conducted monthly.

Evidence: The provider stated that evacuation drills were conducted for September and October 2019, but that it was not documented on the Record of Emergency Response Drills.

Plan of Correction: I will update all the documentation today.
