An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today, November 19, 2019 to determine the provider's compliance with licensing standards. The inspection was initiated at 12:00pm and concluded at approximately 1:30pm. In attendance were two children totaling seven points being supervised by the provider. Children were observed interacting with the provider, eating, diapering, and preparing for nap time. Today's lunch consisted of vegetable soup, apple sauce, banana bread, and milk. Children's books, toys, and equipment were inspected and found to be age appropriate and in operable condition. The children's restroom was inspected with the required supplies available. All rooms of the home were inspected with no hazards found. Due to inclement weather the outdoor playground was not inspected.
The family day home had the required postings displayed in the living room and in the children's room. The required first aid kit & supplies, fire extinguisher, and emergency supplies were available. Five children's records and household member records were inspected with the required information present. The following was also inspected on this day: menu, daily attendance, daily schedule, fire drill/shelter-in-place log, emergency preparedness plan, continuity procedures, parent agreements, and other pertinent information.
