Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 1:30pm until 2:30pm. There were 11 children (33 points) directly supervised by 3 staff. The home, 3 staff records, 5 children?s records, pet records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed sleeping under direct supervision with background music. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for children. The home was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-800-B
Description: Based on record review, the provider did not review the emergency plan at least annually and update the plan as needed.
Evidence:
The emergency plan was most recently reviewed of June 5, 2018.

Plan of Correction: The provider reviewed the emergency plan and updated the date of review during the inspection.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280
Description: Based on observation, potentially poisonous substances were not stored in areas inaccessible to children.
Evidence:
A canister of sanitizing wipes were observed on the toilet tank int he bathroom used by children.

Plan of Correction: The wipes were moved into an inaccessible area during the inspection.
