An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:30am to 12:00pm with the provider and one assistant. There were seven children in care, ranging from six months to four years of age, for a total of 20 points. Children were observed having free play and reading a book and one infant was observed napping. Four childrens records, three caregivers records, and two household members records were reviewed and were in compliance. The provider and assistants have current certification in CPR and First Aid. The provider reported that there are no children's medications in the home at this time, but she has current certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT). Lunch today was fish sticks, hash browns, apples, wheat bread, and milk. The first aid kit, flashlight, weather band radio, and fire extinguisher were observed and were in compliance. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed and were in compliance.
