An unannounced mandated inspection was completed on 03/02/2020, between the hours of 10:15 A.M.-12:20 P.M. Eight children were present for a total of nineteen points with two caregivers present. Two caregiver records, one household member record, five children records, evacuation drills, first aid kit, emergency supplies, emergency plan, warm water temperature, refrigerator and freezer temperatures, and required posted information were reviewed. Children were observed during diaper change, hand washing, transitions, reading time, manipulatives, watching a movie, an evacuation drill, lunch, and preparation for nap time. Exceptions to compliance are noted on the violation notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-800-B Description: Based on provider interview and records review, the provider did not ensure the emergency plan is reviewed at least annually.
1. Caregiver #1 stated she did not update the emergency plan.
2. The emergency plan was last updated on August 2018.
Plan of Correction: I will plan to update the emergency plan immediately.
