Comments:
An announced initial inspection was conducted on 7/8/19 from 4:30 pm until 5:45 pm to review the subsidy health and safety requirements. No children were enrolled in the childcare at the time of the inspection. All subsidy health and safety requirements were inspected or reviewed.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-400-B-5
Description: Based on a review of the emergency plan and interview, the vendor failed to include procedures for lockdown in the emergency plan. Evidence: 1. The emergency plan did not contain procedures for lockdown. 2. The vendor used an emergency plan template for a licensed family day home which did not contain procedures for lockdown.

Plan of Correction: Procedures for lockdown will be added to the emergency plan.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-400-B-6
Description: Based on a review of the emergency plan and interview, the vendor failed to include information regarding caregiver training requirements, drill frequency, and plan review and update in the emergency plan. Evidence: 1. The emergency plan did not contain information regarding caregiver training requirements, drill frequency, and plan review and update. 2. The vendor verified she did not include information regarding caregiver training requirements, drill frequency, and plan review and update in the emergency plan.

Plan of Correction: Information regarding caregiver training requirements, drill frequency, and plan review and update will be added to the emergency plan.

Description: Based on a review of the emergency plan and interview, the vendor failed to include a component regarding continuity of operations procedures to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency in the emergency plan. Evidence: 1. The emergency plan did not have a component regarding continuity of operations procedures to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency. 2. The vendor verified she did not include this component in the emergency plan.

Plan of Correction: The emergency plan will be updated to include a component regarding continuity of operations procedures to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency.
