Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:45am-11:35am. There were 50 children (2yrs-5yrs) directly supervised by 8 staff. The physical plant, 4 staff records, 4 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, and emergency supplies were inspected. Children were observed participating playing outside, coloring, and working independently. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-G
Description: Based on medication review, medication was not maintained in the original, labeled container. Evidence: Emergency medications observed for Child 5 and Child 6 were not maintained in the original, labeled container. The medications were kept in a ziploc bag, labeled only with the child's name.

Plan of Correction: I will request the medication label from the parent.
