Technical Assistance:
Discussed checking First Aid and emergency supplies on both floor to reduce chance that kits could be missing items. Discussed outside sand box and drainage. Land line phone has to be in working order when center opens. Cafeteria area- monitor staff in regards to hand washing before and after meals as procedures may require adjusting transition time.

Comments:
A full Initial Inspection was conducted. The Inspector took classroom measurements, counted sinks and toilets, observed materials available in classrooms, evacuation procedures and maps, and special care provisions. The Inspector reviewed staffing and daily schedules while also reviewing program's policies. The younger groups changing area is in hallway directly by the bathroom and sinks. The center has a large room designated for indoor gross motor play and a cafeteria for serving children meals. Please call with questions 703-479-4679

Description: Based on observation, the mid platform leading to stairway has a visible cracked flooring on one side of a floor vent.

Plan of Correction: Corrected by maintenance during the inspection.
