Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 9:20 a.m. - 11:35 a.m. There were seventeen children with three teachers working directly with them. Two children's records were reviewed. One staff record was reviewed. The children were playing outside, riding scooters, playing ball, walking the balance beam, talking and laughing. The children were also preparing the garden in order to grow summer vegetables. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-320-B
Description: Based on inspection the hot water temperature at one of the sinks near a toilet was over 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Evidence: 1. On 04/02/2015 the licensing inspector took the hot water temperature at the sink in Bathroom #1 and it was 134.3 degrees Fahrenheit. 2. On 04/02/2015 staff #1 reviewed the hot water temperature and confirmed the reading was 134.3 degrees Fahrenheit.

Plan of Correction: We will turn the hot water temperature down and start testing the hot water temperature on a daily basis to ensure the hot water temperature is not over 120 degrees Fahrenheit. We will start a log of the temperatures so we have documentation that there has been follow through. We will start working on this immediately.
