Comments:
Conducted an unannounced renewal inspection. Observed 15 children + 2 direct-care staff. Ratios were in compliance and supervision was constant. Children were engaged in a variety of educational activities, to include: painting, drawing, cutting, counting, puppet play, computer, music + singing to the song, and creative play with baby dolls, ironing, vacuuming, and shopping. Staff were actively participating in the activities and provided constant encouragement and praise to the children. Behavior guidance was positively worded and re-directive in nature. The program areas were found to be clean, safeguarded appropriately, and well supplied with toys and equipment for the children. According to the posted menu, lunch served today will include: honey glazed chicken, rice, stir fry vegetables, peaches, and milk. Lunch remains catered. Health and fire inspection were current. Emergency preparedness supplies were in order. No medications reported to be on-site. Required documents were posted. Record keeping was in good order. No violations cited today. Inspection completed 10:20-11:30am.
