An announced record review was conducted on May 20, 2015. The sample size consisted of two staff records. Areas of noncompliance are identified on the violation notice. Exit interview was conducted with Staff A.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-240-C
Description: Based on record review, in two out of two staff records reviewed, the licensee did not ensure that staff who directly work with children receive 16 hours of staff development activities annually. Evidence: 1. During the inspection conducted on May 20, 2015, there was not documentation of at least 16 hours of annual training in the record for Staff #1 and #2. 2. Staff A confirmed that this documentation was not available for review during the inspection.

Plan of Correction: The Education Component will ensure that 16 hours of Staff Development Activities will be conducted annually. Copies of Training logs will be forwarded to Human Resources.
